Simac Masic, a subsidiary of Simac Techniek NV, has joined SBMC. What motivated this decision, and what does the company aim to gain and contribute within the consortium? We spoke with Has Verouden, Manager of Business Development, to gain insight into the company’s goals and expectations as they embark on this new partnership.
“At Simac Masic, we focus on high-tech visual inspection systems and serve as a vision integrator for pharmaceutical- and medical companies worldwide.”, Verouden explains. “One of our core strengths lies in developing cutting-edge machine vision systems for automated quality control either located end of production or inline at our customers. Additionally, we offer customized automation solutions and act as a subcontractor for (sub) module assembly. A dedicated service team supports our customers for installations, training, preventive maintenance, and emergency support.
“Simac Masic holds a strong position in the inspection of critical components in pharmaceutical packaging, establishing ourselves as a world-class player in the industry. While we are not yet active in the biomaterials field, we are confident that we can add significant value to enhance the quality of these materials.”
The biomaterials market is rapidly growing and presents immense opportunities. The presence of several prominent and high-potential companies within the consortium was a major factor in our decision to join. The SBMC network is strategically important to us, and we are eager to share our world-class expertise in quality control with other members.
