The interdisciplinary world of BIO INX®

July 3, 2023

Consortium member BIO INX® is a spin-off company of Universiteit Gent and Vrije Universiteit Brussel focusing on the commercialisation of materials and bio-inks for 3D bioprinting or biofabrication; materials that ensure cells not only remain alive during the printing process, but also become processable during and after printing, allowing them to grow into healthy tissues.

“Tissue engineering and biomaterials are inherently interdisciplinary”, says co-founder and CEO Jasper Van Hoorick. “So it’s crucial for us to be a part of Smart BioMaterials Consortium (SBMC). It allows us to network and build collaborations with parties that share a similar or complementary mission, thereby advancing the field as quickly as possible.”

Great to have you on board Jasper!
